Hollywood Brides Unveiled at Somerset Collection

March 4 through March 21, 2010, Somerset Collection's North Grand Court will be transformed into a dazzling exhibit. Reminiscent of a glamorous Wedding Extravaganza, the exhibit showcases actual bridal fashions worn in some of the most memorable Hollywood motion pictures.

David C. McKnight performed
his "Design Magic" at the Michigan Design Center in Troy - Thursday, October 22

11 of Metro Detroit's top designers, partnered with local florists and representatives of fabric and furniture showrooms, to show off an array of themed rooms decked out for the holidays. They also offered tips on how to add seasonal flair and inspiration to home projects. David C. McKnight of Emerald City Designs twice performed design "magic" by turning a simple room setting into a head-turning holiday display right before visitors' eyes.

Sweet 16 Table Displays

A Perfect Day for a Parade

Emerald City Designs was center stage at the Northville Parade on Saturday, July 4th.

The float featured a "Sweet 16" theme in honor of 16 years of creating memorable events. It was decorated in Emerald City Designs corporate colors and adorned with crystal curtains, leather lounge furniture, chandeliers and... a dj!

And to make the day more perfect, Emerald City Designs took home the "Best Themed Float" Award!

It is with great sadness and deep affection that Emerald City Designs announces the loss of our dear colleague and friend, Michelle Martinico, who passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 23rd, 2008.

We will truly miss Michelle each and every day and ask that you keep her in your hearts and prayers.

Sarah is making progress - but since her rehabilitation is not covered by insurance, we have to keep our efforts going to ease the burden on her and her family.

Sarah, age 31, is a native of Michigan. Sarah is a kind, funny, compassionate, and beautiful person. Just months after finishing law school, tragedy struck Sarah suddenly on September 17th when she suffered a massive stroke in her cerebral cortex which has left her unable to walk or speak. The cost of Sarah’s rehabilitation is very expensive and is not covered by insurance. You may not know Sarah, but she needs your help.
